You have successfully connected to the Administration Server,
BUT....

The Administration Server cannot authenticate your userid or password.

The Administration Server is installed with Authentication enabled. This means that the Administration Server will not service a page without a valid userid and password. This is done to protect the IBM HTTP Server Configuration file from unauthorized access.

To create a userid and password you can use the "HTPASSWD" utility shipped with the Administration Server. On a command line, type the appropriate command text:
    • For NT, type (from the ServerRoot directory):     htpasswd -cm conf\admin.passwd [login name]
    • For AIX, type:     (from the ServerRoot/bin directory) :    ./htpasswd -cm ServerRoot/conf/admin.passwd [login name]
    • For SOLARIS, type:     (from the ServerRoot/bin directory):     ./htpasswd -cm ServerRoot/conf/admin.passwd [login name]
    • For LINUX, type:     (from the ServerRoot/bin directory):     ./htpasswd -cm ServerRoot/conf/admin.passwd [login name]
    • For HP-UX, type:     (from the ServerRoot/bin directory):     ./htpasswd -cm ServerRoot/conf/admin.passwd [login name]

where [login name] is the userid that will be used to log into the Administration Server.

NOTE: You will be prompted for a password 2 times:
    • New password: ***
    • Re-type new password: ***
